How To Conjugate Regular Present Tense -re Verbs In French
1) Drop the -re of the infinitive form

2) Take the stem of the word and add the appropriate ending

The word attendre means to attend. When you add the new ending, it also changes the meaning of the word. For example, when you change it to the je form, je attend, that means I attend. 

Je = I        Tu = You (familiar)        Il/Elle/On = He/She/One

Nous = We     Vous = You (formal)     Ils/Elles = They
