How To Conjugate Regular Present Tense -ir Verbs In French

1) Drop the -ir of the infinitive form
2) Take the stem and add the appropriate ending for -ir verbs

The word finir means to finish. When you add the new ending, it also changes to meaning of the word. For example, when using finir in the je form, you would write je finis, which means I finish. 
Je = I        Tu = You (familiar)        Il/Elle/On = He/She/One


Nous = We     Vous = You (formal)     Ils/Elles = They
